Due to the various interesting aspects of Inscription NFTs, choosing an Inscription NFT is a more subjective and personal process. Inexperienced individuals need not worry, as this article will teach you how to get started! The following information is derived from the research conducted by 0xWizard on the X platform, organized and written by Block Beats.

How to choose an Inscription NFT?
Recently, Inscription NFTs have undoubtedly been the hottest narrative. So, what are the advantages of Inscription NFTs? And how should one choose? In response to these questions, cryptocurrency researcher 0xWizard has published a “beginner-friendly” educational article on X, which BlockBeats has organized as follows:
Fully On-Chain:
Since all content of Inscription NFTs is engraved on the Bitcoin network, your beloved NFT will be permanently stored on the most secure chain in the world. This is different from most ETH NFTs, which store their content on IPFS.
Inscription Numbers:
Each Inscription NFT is assigned an Inscription Number according to the order of inscription (starting from 0 and increasing sequentially). Over time, the current Inscription Numbers have reached millions, which adds to the joy of collecting and provides a basis for assessing value.
Typically, it is believed that Inscription NFTs with lower Inscription Numbers have greater collecting value, such as the sub10k series (the first ten thousand inscriptions).
Recursive Inscriptions:
Due to the 4MB content restriction of taproot segregated witness, the size of inscription content is limited. In order to overcome this limitation and introduce greater flexibility, the Inscription Protocol has designed a self-referential format called “Recursive Inscription.”
This allows for richer and higher-definition expressions within the inscription. For example, ordibots 3D uses recursive inscriptions to achieve AR and high definition. Additionally, the inscription cost for each Inscription NFT is very low.
Cursed Inscriptions:
Cursed Inscriptions were originally protocol bugs, where some inscriptions were not “properly” assigned to the original numbering series. Therefore, these inscriptions, known as “cursed,” were given negative numbers.
These protocol bugs have been fixed, and there will be no more cursed Inscription NFTs with negative numbers in the future.
Rare Satoshis:
Since each Inscription NFT is engraved on a Satoshi, the Inscription Protocol has defined special Satoshis called “Rare Satoshis.” For example, the first mined Satoshi in each block. NFTs engraved on these Satoshis tend to have higher prices because rare Satoshis are more valuable than regular Satoshis. My profile picture is a wizard engraved on a rare Satoshi.
Due to the various interesting aspects of Inscription NFTs, choosing an Inscription NFT is a more subjective and personal process. For example, those with lower Inscription Numbers have collecting value, recursive inscriptions have continuous technological innovation value, cursed inscriptions are similar to error stamps and will no longer be added, and rare Satoshis have a value floor (even if the NFT is not valuable, the Satoshis can still be sold).
It may seem overwhelming, but in reality, it is constantly changing while remaining the same. It depends on whose “consensus” is stronger.
In my opinion, there are currently three types of consensus that are the strongest:
1. Strong Community
For example, the Great Wizard and a series of community events and promotions have continuously brought Inscription NFTs into the spotlight. Recently, the rapid rise of Foxes also demonstrates the power of the community. In the long run, I believe this is the most important factor. Without a community, attention and traffic will be continuously diluted by new concepts and series.
2. Lower Inscription Numbers – First is First
Within the sub10k series, there are some better series. Currently, the leading series is Little Frogs, considered to be the first 10k series (although there is another series with reputation issues, which will not be introduced here).
3. Leading in Various Subfields
This type of consensus gathers attention and traffic from those who are interested in specific subfields. For example, ordibots3d for technological innovation, Big Geese for artists, and ohm for rare Satoshis, etc.
