Bitcoin broke through $43,800 last night and is currently hovering around $43,500. Ethereum, on the other hand, is relatively weak. Solana (SOL), which has been strong recently, reached a high of $126.36 earlier and set a new high for the year.
Bitcoin (BTC) was trading within a narrow range around $43,000 yesterday, but suddenly surged above $43,800 around 9 p.m. However, selling pressure emerged afterwards, and as of the time of writing, it is reported at $43,542, a 1.08% increase in the past 24 hours.
Ethereum (ETH), on the other hand, has shown much weaker performance. After briefly surpassing $2,300 last night, it quickly fell and is now reported at $2,272, a 0.07% increase in the past 24 hours.
It is worth noting that Solana (SOL), which has been very strong recently, surged again around 2 a.m. today, reaching a high of $126.36, a new high in twenty months with a more than 60% increase in the past week. It has slightly dropped since then and is now reported at $120.39, an 8.52% increase in the past 24 hours.
According to CoinMarketCap data, most of the other top ten cryptocurrencies have also seen increases in the past 24 hours.
