Bitcoin briefly surpassed $43,800 last night and is currently fluctuating around $43,500. Ethereum, on the other hand, is relatively weaker. Solana (SOL), which has been strong recently, reached a high of $126.36 earlier, setting a new high for the year.
Bitcoin (BTC) was trading in a narrow range around $43,000 yesterday, but suddenly surged above $43,800 around 9 PM. However, selling pressure emerged afterwards, and as of the time of writing, it is trading at $43,542, up 1.08% in the past 24 hours.
Ethereum (ETH), on the other hand, has shown much weaker performance. After briefly surpassing $2,300 last night, it quickly fell and is currently trading at $2,272, up 0.07% in the past 24 hours.
It is worth noting that Solana (SOL), which has been very strong recently, experienced another surge around 2 AM today, reaching a high of $126.36, marking a 20-month high and a gain of over 60% in the past week. It has slightly declined since then and is currently trading at $120.39, up 8.52% in the past 24 hours.
According to CoinMarketCap data, most of the other top ten cryptocurrencies have also seen increases in the past 24 hours.
