On May 27th, Bitlayer officially launched the Head Mining Festival in collaboration with Lorenzo, Bitsmiley, Avalon, Bitcow, Pell, Enzo, and Bitparty, seven ecosystem projects. This event will provide users with token airdrop rewards worth over $24.35 million, as well as more opportunities to earn generous rewards.
The event will last for two weeks, from May 27th to June 10th.
The rewards for this event consist of two parts:
Head Mining Festival Exclusive Airdrop: The project team will provide users with a total of over $24.35 million worth of project tokens through airdrops, with most tokens expected to complete TGE (Token Generation Event) within 1-2 months.
Bitlayer Dapp Ranking Competition Airdrop: The project team promises to distribute 100% of the Bitlayer Gems they obtained in the Bitlayer Dapp Ranking Competition to the users. After the competition ends, users who participate in any of the projects’ interactions can convert the received Bitlayer Gems into Bitlayer tokens (BTR) at a certain ratio after TGE.
Users need to complete the corresponding tasks according to the process by logging into the exclusive event page for the Bitlayer Head Mining Festival.
Official Head Mining Festival Event Page: Based on the interactive tasks set by the project, as long as users engage in various on-chain interactions such as adding liquidity, creating transactions, and depositing or borrowing assets, they can qualify for the corresponding project’s airdrop distribution. Additionally, users who complete at least one task set by a single project and share it with their friends can mint the corresponding project’s Bitlayer Head Mining Festival Pioneer Exclusive Badge for free.
People’s Launchpad Event Page: Some projects will set interactive tasks on this platform. As long as users complete the corresponding tasks, such as following social accounts, inviting new users, and generating various specified on-chain interactions, they can participate in the corresponding reward pool distribution.
With the official launch of the Head Mining Festival, users can participate in the token airdrop distribution provided by the project through increasing on-chain activity. Here are the preparations users need to make before participating in the Head Mining Festival:
1. Bitlayer supports Lightning Network deposits, allowing users to quickly convert USDT (ERC20/TRC20) to BTC on the Bitlayer chain. The specific tutorial can be found at: [link]
2. If users want to transfer their BTC and ETH assets to Bitlayer, they can use third-party bridges. The specific tutorial can be found at: [link]
3. If the user’s cross-chain funds exceed $50,000, it is recommended to cross-chain BTC to Bitlayer through the official bridge. The specific tutorial can be found at: [link]

About Bitlayer
Bitlayer is the first Bitcoin secure equivalent Layer 2 based on BitVM. Bitlayer’s core goal is to solve the trade-off between security and Turing completeness in Bitcoin Layer 2 through cryptographic innovations and blockchain engineering.
Bitlayer aims to become the computational layer of Bitcoin, introducing scalability to Bitcoin while maintaining its security, and providing users with a high-throughput, low-cost transaction experience.
