Taiwanese local exchange MaiCoin Group has launched a cryptocurrency payment service called “MaiPay”, providing merchants with a Web3 payment tool that allows users to transact with cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, USDT, and more. This article provides a detailed introduction to the service.

MaiCoin, a Taiwanese local exchange, launched the cryptocurrency payment service “MaiPay” this year, allowing users to transact with tokens such as BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and MAX, thereby expanding the application scenarios for cryptocurrency payments.

During the Double 11 period last week, MaiCoin announced that in addition to being able to purchase cold wallets at MaiCoin Taipei and Taichung stores, they have also added more businesses such as “Peng Pei” boutique tea with black fungus in Taichung and “Quick Charge” smart power supply services in Hsinchu, thereby expanding the scope of cryptocurrency payments.

What is MaiPay and how does it work?
Similar to the currently popular third-party payment methods, Taiwanese merchants can offer consumers the option to scan and pay via tablets or mobile devices, or directly integrate with the MaiPay API through their POS systems.

Merchants can settle the virtual currency they receive immediately in either virtual currency or New Taiwan Dollars to avoid exchange rate fluctuations, providing consumers with diverse choices while early positioning in the Web 3 landscape.

Note: The official statement indicates that there are currently no transaction fees for users conducting cryptocurrency payments, and transactions will be settled immediately.

Where can MaiPay be used?
According to the official introduction by MaiPay, the following companies currently accept MaiPay-supported payments. It can be seen that there is still a lot of room for growth in terms of popularity, and interested merchants can contact the official for application.

MaiCoin Group states:
