Binance founder Zhao Changpeng, while awaiting the delayed sentencing hearing on April 30th, has not been idle and has provided updates on the progress of “Giggle Academy” to the community, indicating that the team is expanding.
In November last year, Binance reached a historic settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and other organizations. Zhao Changpeng admitted to charges of violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws, stepped down as CEO, and paid $175 million in bail. Currently, Zhao Changpeng is awaiting the delayed sentencing hearing on April 30th.
It is worth mentioning that on March 19th, Zhao Changpeng announced the launch of the educational project “Giggle Academy”. The project aims to provide free basic education for students from 1st grade to 12th grade, with the core concept of gamified learning experience and adaptive education mechanism, without profit as its goal.
As a legendary figure in the cryptocurrency market, CZ’s next chapter in life is widely supported and anticipated by the community.

Recruiting a Team of 15 People
Today (March 31st), CZ provided an update on the progress of “Giggle Academy” on the X platform. He stated that he has currently established a team of 10 people, including part-time and full-time members. All members are working remotely, and the team holds three conference calls per week, as well as occasional informal small meetings.
On the other hand, he is actively recruiting new members, with about twelve interview arrangements already made. The goal is to expand the team to 15 people. In terms of teaching content, the development of the first English pronunciation course has been completed, and production is underway.
It is worth noting that Giggle Academy chose to prioritize the development of an application for the Android system instead of a web version, considering that in the target market, Android devices are often the preferred choice for families before obtaining laptops. The touch screen functionality and push notifications of Android phones are more user-friendly for young users.
In addition, the project team is redesigning its characters, as the original design was too similar to the famous animated characters “Tom and Jerry”. At the same time, CZ is actively engaging with experts in the education field, continuously exploring and learning more about educational applications’ knowledge and skills. Finally, he jokingly said, “Should we hire meme experts?”
Underneath the tweet, CZ’s interaction with the community is peaceful, seemingly with a relaxed pace after putting down the burden. The community informs CZ that the younger generation now learns through memes, to which CZ replies, “Should we hire meme creators?” This response may suggest that this cryptocurrency giant is aware of the recent meme coin frenzy and has the cryptocurrency market in mind.
