OKX Ambassador Tommy, along with representatives from DoraHacks, ZONE Wallet, and the DA Alliance, spoke at the Financial Investment and Industry Research Society of National Chengchi University about his career and experiences in the Web3 industry.
The recent event was organized by OKX, a leading global Web3 technology company, with the aim of promoting the integration of Web3 and the real world. The event brought together local academic organizations and the innovation ecosystem. On March 30th, OKX Ambassador Tommy, along with representatives from DoraHacks, ZONE Wallet, and the DA Alliance, shared their professional experiences and insights in the Web3 industry with members of the Financial Investment and Industry Research Society of National Chengchi University.
The Financial Investment and Industry Research Society is an emerging academic community at National Chengchi University, dedicated to promoting investment and financial knowledge, as well as fostering a culture of industry research. Through rigorous training and practical projects, the society aims to help students establish their career development direction and enhance their competitiveness during their university years.
As an OKX Ambassador, Tommy not only shared his experiences but also provided a comprehensive introduction to OKX’s products and business layout to the members of the society. Regarding the exchange products, Tommy emphasized that consensus is achieved through trading. He introduced OKX’s 14 different strategy tools, which serve as the standard operating procedures for trading. These tools, such as the grid strategy, allow beginners to easily engage in low buy-high sell transactions, making it more accessible for newcomers with limited time. Tommy also mentioned that OKX’s trading signals are tested by professional traders for at least two to three months, ensuring their high feasibility.
In terms of Web3 wallet products, Tommy believes that OKX Web3 Wallet is currently the most convenient entry-level product, allowing users to easily experience various blockchain tracks. Additionally, the wallet’s built-in Cryptopedia section integrates emerging protocols, helping users learn about different blockchains through tasks and providing opportunities to receive early airdrop rewards from these protocols.
Lastly, Tommy shared his experiences as an ambassador, including community management, assisting users in resolving queries, and participating in various online and offline activities. Through these experiences, he learned how to use basic products such as exchanges and wallets, enabling him to quickly understand and adapt to the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
During the event, the Dog Brother from the DA Traders Alliance also shared insights on navigating the world of blockchain. He expressed that all blockchain data is public and not integrated with big data, allowing the use of analysis tools to process and filter information, transforming it into helpful secondary information. He further added:
The event received unanimous praise from the Financial Investment and Industry Research Society of National Chengchi University, providing a platform for new talents to learn about and enter the Web3 industry, and leaving a positive impression of the OKX brand on the participants.
Prior to this event, on March 28th, OKX sponsored the offline event of the Unicorns Club at 11F Unispace in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Five well-known speakers from various fields, including Tony, the Regional Brand Director of OKX Web3, Kyrie, the Business Development Manager of Typus Finance, Professor Wen Minghui from National Taipei University of Business, Jenny, the Web3 team product manager from a major domestic financial institution, and Liu Yulun, the Product Manager of H&A QUANT’s Business Department, shared their insights on blockchain finance and market strategies based on their entrepreneurial experiences.
Tony, the Regional Brand Director of OKX Web3, introduced OKX as a leading global digital asset trading platform and Web3 platform, emphasizing its brand positioning and market strategy. He mentioned that OKX offers diverse services, including spot and derivative trading, as well as financial products. OKX has also launched the Web3 wallet, supporting more than 80 public chains, and has built two public chains, XLayer and OKTC, providing a comprehensive Web3 experience. Tony emphasized OKX’s leading position in technological innovation, such as the establishment of a unified trading account and continuous exploration in DeFi, metaverse, and GameFi fields. Through these efforts, OKX aims to promote the popularization of blockchain technology and the global application of digital assets.
Kyrie, the Business Development Manager of Typus Finance, focused on the innovation and practice of derivative financial products in the decentralized finance (DeFi) field. She mentioned that in the DeFi ecosystem, including decentralized exchanges (DEX), lending protocols, token issuance (IDO), and derivative trading, DEX provides liquidity through automated market maker (AMM) models. Although this brings volatility risks, options strategies can effectively hedge these risks, thereby increasing the willingness of liquidity providers. Kyrie believes that one advantage of options trading is the ability to provide high leverage without forced liquidation, making it suitable for retail speculation.
Professor Wen Minghui from National Taipei University of Business analyzed the development of Web3 in token economics, product-market fit, and technological applications from both academic and practical perspectives. He pointed out that achieving Web3 product innovation requires considering three key factors: technological drive, token economy drive, and user experience drive. Professor Wen delved into important concepts in digital human engineering, including Proof-of-Personhood, Proof-of-Reputation, and Proof-of-Human-Value, emphasizing the precise mapping of multiple dimensions of human identity in the digital world. He introduced the upcoming project, 0xer, which uses fully on-chain Soulbound NFTs to encode human traits and transforms them into DNA Soulbound Tokens. This represents a human-centered digital transformation and opens up diverse application scenarios such as Web3 airdrops, advertising market marketing, and AI.
Jenny, the Web3 team product manager from a major domestic financial institution, shared several use cases of blockchain technology in the financial industry, ranging from digital asset management and custody to the development prospects of security token offerings (STOs). She emphasized how blockchain technology has propelled the evolution of financial technology from Fintech 1.0 to Fintech 3.0, providing new business opportunities and challenges for traditional financial institutions. Jenny shared application cases of blockchain technology in the financial industry, including global trade-sharing blockchains and insurance alliance blockchains, demonstrating how blockchain can address the issues faced by financial services. Looking ahead, Jenny expects the financial industry to enhance security and convenience through decentralized identity (DID) technology. She also highlighted the potential and challenges of tokenizing real-world assets (RWA). In the future, blockchain technology will further enhance the transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of financial services.
Liu Yulun, the Product Manager of H&A QUANT’s Business Department, discussed the application and strategies of quantitative trading in the cryptocurrency market. He shared methods for automating the trading process using mathematical models and big data analysis, and achieving profit goals through high-frequency trading systems, hedging, and arbitrage strategies. Yulun emphasized that profit sources should not have a strong positive correlation with cryptocurrency prices to reduce the impact of market volatility on investment returns. He also emphasized the importance of risk control in quantitative trading and demonstrated the effectiveness of system strategies through real performance.
As a leading global Web3 technology company, OKX is committed to promoting the integration of Web3 and the real world. By providing industry information to campus communities and offering employment choices for students, OKX conveys its brand values and strengthens its deep connections with the local innovation ecosystem.
