Binance Exchange will launch the native token ZK of ZKsync at 17:00 today (17th), seemingly to appease users’ anger. Binance plans to distribute 200 ZK to eligible users. In addition, ZK airdrop claims have been opened today at 15:00, and users can go to the claim page to make their claims.

Global largest centralized exchange Binance announced at 10:00 today that it will list ZKsync (ZK) at 16:00 today and open the following spot trading pairs: ZK/BTC, ZK/USDT, ZK/FDUSD, and ZK/TRY. Furthermore, the announcement states that the ZK deposit channel is open and withdrawals will be available at 16:00 on June 18th.
Additionally, ZKsync airdrop claims have been opened at 15:00 today, and users can make claims at claim.zknation.io until January 3, 2025.

What is ZKsync?
ZKsync is an Ethereum Layer2 scaling solution that focuses on improving transaction processing speed and reducing transaction fees. Additionally, ZKsync uses a technology called Zero-Knowledge Proofs to achieve this goal. This technology allows users to prove they possess certain information without revealing the information itself. This way, ZKsync can ensure the validity and security of transactions without disclosing all transaction details.
By bundling multiple transactions together and processing them on Layer 2, ZKsync significantly reduces the burden on the mainnet, speeding up transactions and lowering costs. Users ultimately submit transaction results to the Ethereum mainnet to ensure security and finality.
Binance ZK Token Distribution Plan
On the other hand, seemingly to calm users’ anger, Binance plans to distribute 10,500,000 ZK tokens to a maximum of 52,500 eligible Binance users from June 17, 2024, at 10:00 to July 17, 2024, at 7:59. The conditions include initiating at least 50 transactions through ZKSync Era from February 2023 to March 2024 and engaging in transactions in seven different months during this period (excluding self-transfers). The claim address must not meet the official ZK Nation airdrop plan’s ZK token eligibility and must not be a contract/CEX/bridge address.
How to claim the tokens:
Eligible users must deposit at least 0.02 ETH from the whitelist address of the ZKSync ERA network to Binance. The amount of ETH deposited by the user will not affect the number of ZK tokens distributed. Only ETH deposited directly from the ZKsync active user whitelist will be considered valid. Binance will use these addresses as a reference for distribution.
