The Web3 user-centered Layer2 protocol Saakuru has recently attracted attention in the gaming market. Starting on June 23, the number of transactions on Saakuru skyrocketed by over 1,000%, with daily transactions exceeding 2 million, surpassing the leading gaming chain Ronin.
Not only the transaction volume, but Saakuru also saw a total of 840,000 wallet addresses, indicating a continuous increase in user base and adoption rate of the Saakuru blockchain.
Saakuru has partnered with Playground, a game publishing platform, which has contributed to the significant increase in activity on the Saakuru blockchain. Playground is a platform designed for creators and developers, offering tools for fast game design, construction, and sharing. Currently, Playground has over 201,000 daily active players and a total of 540 million transactions.
The collaboration between Saakuru and Playground has resulted in the launch of alpha versions of new games on the Saakuru blockchain, inspired by the popular game Roblox. These games run on the Saakuru chain, which does not require gas fees, ensuring a smooth and efficient gaming experience.
A crucial part of the Saakuru protocol is the “Taffy DEX,” a professional decentralized exchange (DEX) based on the Saakuru protocol, facilitating seamless and economically efficient transactions of GameFi tokens. This positions Saakuru as a center for the intersection of gaming and DeFi.
Furthermore, the collaboration introduced a powerful user acquisition system, expected to reach over 100,000 players. This system will attract a significant number of players to the new games, thereby increasing the user base and activity for both Playground and Saakuru.
The trading volume demonstrates the potential of blockchain gaming. According to Dappradar data, in May, the cryptocurrency industry had over 10 million daily active unique wallets (dUAW) participating in blockchain applications, with gaming remaining the most active category. Gaming dapps accounted for 30% of all active wallets, an increase of 7% compared to the previous month, reaching 3.13 million independent active wallets.
In terms of independent active wallets (UAW), Ronin still holds a leading position according to Dappradar analysis. However, when comparing token valuations, there is a significant difference between Ronin and Saakuru, with Saakuru’s fully diluted valuation (FDV) at $36.38 million, while Ronin’s is $2.1 billion.
Despite the valuation difference, Saakuru’s outstanding performance in daily transaction volume demonstrates its potential in the gaming blockchain space. These numbers continue to grow, and the possibility of large-scale application scenarios through the Saakuru chain is increasing.
