Binance Announces First Token Listing Vote

On the morning of March 20, Binance officially released an announcement declaring the launch of its first token listing vote. Users are invited to vote for the first batch of tokens to be listed on Binance by participating in a poll below the official post on Binance Square. Which tokens are participating?

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, announced on March 7 that it will upgrade its token listing mechanism. This upgrade includes the launch of “Vote for Listing” and “Vote for Delisting” mechanisms to enhance community participation and provide users with greater influence in the listing process.

Earlier today, Binance officially published an announcement to launch the first batch of token listing votes. Users are invited to participate by voting for the first batch of tokens to be listed on Binance through the official Binance Square post:

Binance values community engagement and considers the community a key driver. The recent introduction of the “Vote for Listing” and “Vote for Delisting” mechanisms is part of our effort to give the community a stronger voice.

Binance now invites users to vote for the first batch of token listing projects under the official Binance Square post. The first batch of vote-for-listing projects is limited to tokens based on the Binance Chain (BNB Chain). Future voting rounds will include all tokens in Binance Alpha.

Token Listing Criteria and Reference Indicators

  1. Token Fundamentals and Related Indicators:
    • Consumer products, infrastructure, and other non-meme coin projects:
      • Established user base or market validation
      • Feasible business model with clear development path and profit prospects
      • Compliant with cryptocurrency narratives
    • Meme coins: Strong community with cultural resonance
  2. Token Economics:
    • Token distribution
    • Unlocking schedule
  3. Secondary Market Performance:
    • Trading volume, liquidity depth, and historical price volatility
    • Fully diluted valuation and market cap
  4. Technical Risk Assessment:
    • Potential risks of tokens and related contracts
    • Code quality, innovation potential, system complexity, centralization risks, external audit history, previous security incidents
  5. Team Background and Compliance Review:
    • Background checks of the team and key stakeholders
    • Compliance risk assessment, such as sanctions and other financial risks

How to Vote?

The voting period is from 17:00 UTC on March 19, 2025, to 16:59 UTC on March 26, 2025.

  • Users must log in to a verified Binance account, and the account must hold at least 0.01 BNB for the vote to be valid.
  • Each user can vote for up to 5 projects.
  • Each verified account can only vote for one project.
  • Only votes under the official Binance Square post will be counted.
  • Voting results do not directly determine whether a token will be listed, as a comprehensive due diligence process will follow.
  • Projects not listed in this round still have the opportunity to participate in future voting rounds.
