Huobi Exchange (HTX) experienced a major system crash around 8 p.m. tonight, causing a large number of users to report that they were unable to access the official website. The official Huobi account urgently tweeted, stating that the crash was due to a DDoS attack and assuring users that their assets were safe.
Ironically, Sun Yuchen had just announced yesterday that he would unveil the HTX DAO project today, aiming to give Huobi a fresh start. However, the exchange was unexpectedly targeted by hackers.
