Sun Yuchen, the founder of Tron, posted on the social media platform X yesterday, expressing his intention to acquire Weibo, a Chinese social media platform similar to Twitter, and calling himself the “low-budget version of Musk”.
Sun Yuchen has created several hot topics before. He will attend the Asia Blockchain Summit (ABS) held in Taipei in August.
The ABS 2024 is a blockchain summit that will take place from August 6th to 8th at the Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei. It has attracted over 15,000 participants from 30 countries. ABS is known for its creative moments in the blockchain industry, fintech, and AI innovation, diversity, and progress.
In addition to Sun Yuchen, speakers and guests at the ABS 2024 include former Minister of Digital Development Tang Feng, Acer founder Shih Zhenrong, Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ethereum founder Vitalik, TON Foundation Chairman Steve Yun, Memeland&9GAG founder Ray Chen, Indian prodigy Anand, and Su Zhu, founder of Three Arrows Capital. The topics of the speeches include AI technology, blockchain technology and financial regulation, environmental protection and sustainable development, and the next generation of human society interwoven with these topics: plurality.
ABS has created numerous “Web3.0 classic stages and celebrities” in the past, such as Binance founder CZ, BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes, Dr. Doom Nouriel Roubini, SEC Commissioner aka Crypto Mom Hester Peirce, Animoca Brands CEO Robby Yung, Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, and others, making it the most brilliant Asian stage in the history of global financial technology innovation.
Sun Yuchen’s statement about acquiring Weibo may not be realized in the end.
