As a top strategic partner in the TON public chain ecosystem, TONX has been closely collaborating with TON Foundation since 2021. With joint efforts, TONX and TON Foundation co-hosted the first global “TON Hacker House” event in Hong Kong on April 4th. Twenty teams from different tracks gathered together to compete for a massive prize pool of $1.5 million.
The first keynote speech of the event was hosted by Dr. Awesome Doge, co-founder of TONX. Under the theme “The Future of the TON Blockchain and its Role in the Telegram Ecosystem,” he shared his journey since participating in the development of the TON testnet and provided unique insights into the future development of the TON ecosystem to the attendees.
During the middle stage of Hacker House, Dr. Awesome Doge announced two major news. Firstly, the launch of TONX’s early membership card “TONX ID.” Secondly, the official establishment of the 5 million dollar TONX ecological fund, demonstrating TONX’s strong confidence and long-term commitment to the future development of the TON project.
In addition, the event invited heavyweight guests such as Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, Steve Yun, President of TON Foundation, and Allen Ng, CEO of Everest Ventures Group (EVG), a renowned Web3 venture capital group in Hong Kong, to participate in a roundtable forum titled “Web3 Super App in Asia – Opportunities in Asia.” During this forum, Web3 giants conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding Asia’s Web3 super applications. Subsequently, David Mak, CEO of Catizen, shared his insights on building high-traffic Mini-Games.
In the latter part of the event, Mark Okham, CEO and co-founder of XTON, introduced the opportunities to grasp the early potential projects in the TON ecosystem using Launchpad. His sharing provided valuable experiences for both project parties and investors.
Finally, with the witness of the judges including Dr. Awesome Doge and founders of TonFura and MiniApp, Hacker House reached its climax. The champion team of the 2024 TON Hacker House, “XPLUS,” was born. “XPLUS” is dedicated to building a gaming platform on the TON chain, gamifying transactional games in innovative and interesting ways, and was highly favored by the judging panel!
While extending sincere congratulations to the champion team “XPLUS,” we also look forward to all participating teams becoming important forces driving the development of the TON ecosystem. Let’s eagerly anticipate the next Hacker House event!
Congratulations to the champion team “XPLUS”!
