In response to the view of the community users that “Ethereum currently lacks a clear overall development direction,” Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin replied yesterday, expressing dissatisfaction with the recent celebrity coin experiments.

Community user @eawosikaa posted on social platform X late yesterday, expressing concerns about the current development status of Ethereum. He stated that Ethereum is now not only seen as an OG L1 public chain, causing many ordinary users to hesitate, but also lacks a clear overall development direction. The solutions of Rollups and the focus of L1’s mission also seem unclear.

Regarding @eawosikaa’s views, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin replied:
Vitalik Buterin is dissatisfied with the recent celebrity coin experiments.

In addition to responding to @eawosikaa’s concerns, Vitalik also expressed his views on the recent hype of celebrity meme coins in the crypto market.

Finally, Vitalik pointed out that celebrity coins must have the following characteristics at least to earn his respect:
