ARC-20 Token QUARK in the Bitcoin Ecosystem Shows Growth Potential in Address Holdings and Market Value Due to Its Meme Attributes
Atomicals’ ARC-20 token QUARK, which is being mined across the Bitcoin ecosystem, has shown potential for growth in address holdings and market value due to its meme attributes. QUARK can still be minted at the time of writing, and readers can quickly learn how to do so. This article does not provide any investment advice, so please conduct your own research and exercise caution.
(Background:
Analyzing BTC’s Two Native Asset Protocols: BRC20 and ARC20)
In the Bitcoin ecosystem, the nearly ubiquitous ARC20 token QUARK, whose English meaning is “quark,” the fundamental unit of matter, similar to sats, the smallest unit of Bitcoin, possesses meme-like attributes. Due to its high initial market value, numerous address holdings, and strong foundational consensus, many community members believe that QUARK has the potential to become a meme coin that can break out in the Atomicals ecosystem.
From a participation perspective, on one hand, QUARK has a total supply of 500,000, which will take a long time to mine, allowing many people to participate and build consensus. On the other hand, QUARK mining difficulty is 6, which is relatively easier compared to Electron and Neutron, and recent multi-thread optimizations have provided opportunities for most people to experience the joy of mining.
Currently, the total supply of QUARK is 500,000, with each unit containing 20,000 coins. According to Atomical Market data, at the time of writing, the price of one unit of QUARK is $25, with a market value exceeding $420,000 and a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $50,000.
For readers with programming backgrounds and abilities, it is recommended to set up an environment to mine QUARK, as it can improve efficiency and reduce costs. This article provides a simple guide for beginners on how to mine and mint QUARK.
1. Wizz Wallet (formerly ATOM Wallet)
2. Minting platform
3. Atomical Market trading platform
4. QUARK project details
5. Mempool Bitcoin chain block query
You can choose to receive QUARK in either Unisat or Wizz Wallet (formerly Atom Wallet) addresses, but it is currently recommended to use Wizz Wallet as it can better recognize Atomicals ecosystem assets.
Open Wizz Wallet by visiting their official website and clicking “Install” to add it as a Chrome browser extension.
In the Chrome browser extension page, open the Wizz Wallet (Formerly Atom) plugin. New users can select “Create new wallet” on this interface. After entering a password for registration, a 12-word mnemonic phrase will pop up. Backup this mnemonic phrase and select the address that starts with m/86/0/0/0/0. Click “Continue” to successfully create the wallet.
Transfer Bitcoin to your Wizz Wallet address as a transaction fee. The current cost for one unit is around 20U, so it is advisable to prepare more Bitcoin as GAS fees to prevent insufficient transaction fees.
Access the minting platform Satsx after linking your wallet. On the Inscribe page, select Atomicals on the left side and Mint under the FT tab. Fill in “quark” in the “Ticker” field. If you need to receive it in another address, check “Receive by Other Address” and enter the new address.
After filling in the basic information, click “Preview.” In the code field under “Content,” verify that the mint_ticker in the third line of the code is “quark.”
In the “Transaction Fees” section, choose the appropriate fee based on the current gas fee for Bitcoin. Different fees correspond to different minting speeds, namely 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 10 minutes.
The total cost of using the minting platform is currently around 25U, with 1000 sats allocated to the platform and 20,000 sats for minting the token. The remaining amount is for transaction fees.
If there are errors in the code information, you can click “Previous Step” to modify the basic information. If the information is correct and you have selected the gas, click “Inscribe.” The system will check your UTXOs to ensure you have sufficient funds. After confirming that your UTXOs are sufficient, the system will begin constructing the transaction.
This process takes time, and the duration depends on the Bitwork difficulty. According to data from DUNE, the current minting progress for QUARK is 2.92%. Based on community feedback, it takes approximately 1.5-2 hours to mine one unit of QUARK. However, according to the author’s test, it takes much longer than 2 hours. Therefore, it is recommended for users with the necessary resources to set up an environment to mine QUARK.
After successfully mining QUARK, the Wizz Wallet will display a signature prompt. After completing the signature, wait for the transaction to be confirmed in the mempool.
Click “View History” in the Wizz Wallet to access the most recent transaction. When the mempool shows the transaction as confirmed and appears blue or purple, it means that a unit of QUARK has been successfully minted.
